To Nonprofits that Serve the Dallas Jewish Community:
The Sylvan T. Baer Foundation grant cycle has just opened and is on our DJCF website. Since there is a limited amount of grant dollars available each year and there is a growing number of organizations that serve the North Texas Jewish community the grant application is only for those that have not received a grant in the past year. The brief application will be due by June 7 and if selected the agency will have until August 23 to submit documents and complete a more detailed application. The roughly $160,000 in grants is anticipated to be shared amongst several nonprofits that serve the Dallas Jewish Community.
The Sylvan T. Baer Foundation has given more than $7 million towards religious, scientific, literary, medical, educational and other charitable purposes to nonprofits serving the Dallas Jewish community. For over 40 years the Dallas Jewish Community Foundation has served as advisor to Bank of America for the Baer Foundation. The link to a brief application can be found here. Eligibility information and more details can be found on both the website and on the application.
Stay safe and well,
